Layered Jell-O Parfaits
Makes 4-5 parfaits
INGREDIENTS:
1 small pkg. Raspberry Jell-O
1 ½ c. boiling water
1 8oz tub Cool Whip
INSTRUCTIONS:
1-place Jell-O in medium sized mixing bowl preferably with a spout for pouring.
2- bring 2 c. water to a boil in a saucepan. Measure out 1 ½ c. of the boiling water into a glass measuring cup and pour over Jell-o. Stir until powder dissolved.
3- add 2/3 package of the frozen cool whip to the bowl and whisk until it dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
4- Pour into individual parfait cups or clear plastic cups and refrigerate 2-3 hours or until set.
5- Top with a dollop of remaining cool whip and garnish with fresh raspberries.
NOTES:
-This recipe is fun because it looks so fancy but it is so easy to make. It’s especially fun for Valentine's Day. The layers will naturally separate on their own leaving you with a red layer on bottom, pink in the middle, and then the white cool whip on top.
-It works great with any flavor of Jell-o. We like to make it with orange jell-O and garnish with mandarin oranges or strawberry Jell-o with fresh strawberries on top.
